Big Spring ISD will begin ON-CAMPUS instruction for the 2022-2023 school year beginning Wednesday, August 22, 2022. Remote learning enrollment will not be available for the 2022-2023 school Year.

ATTENDANCE:

TEA has made it clear that ALL students must adhere to the 90% attendance rule whether attending in-person or online. The 90% rule is a provision in the Texas Education Code (TEC) that applies to a student in any grade level from kindergarten through grade 12. TEC Section 25.092 provides that a student may not be given credit or a final grade for a class or be promoted to the next grade level unless the student is in attendance 90% of the days the class is offered regardless of the reason for the absence.
