Mrs. Stacie Del Angel, Principal
Mrs. Del Angel began her educational career in 1999 as an English teacher at Juarez-Lincoln High School in La Joya ISD, in what is commonly known as the Rio Grande Valley. Upon moving to Victoria, TX in 2002, she continued her teaching career as a junior high and high school English teacher. Upon returning to the Rio Grande Valley in 2009, she continued her educational career as a junior high English teacher at Mission CISD before transitioning to an academic coach. After two years, Mrs. Del Angel became a high school assistant principal, followed by being named Dean of Instruction at Donna North High School. Prior to moving to Big Spring, she worked in South Texas ISD as the Coordinator for ELAR and Emergent Bilingual.
Born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley, Mrs. Del Angel graduated from Pharr-San Juan-Alamo High School and earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from what is now the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Upon moving to the Victoria area, she earned a Master of Education in Administration and Supervision from the University of Houston-Victoria. Currently, Mrs. Del Angel is enrolled at Texas Tech University and plans to graduate in December 2022 with a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership.
Mrs. Del Angel holds multiple educational certifications, including English Language Arts and Reading 8-12; English Language Arts and Reading 4-8; Generalist EC-6; English as a Second Language, Special Education, Gifted and Talented, Principal and Superintendent.
Mrs. Del Angel and her husband have four grown children, 2 boys and 2 girls, who have "flown the coop" so to speak--the oldest has graduated from college and currently lives in San Antonio along with their second oldest. The younger two are working and enrolled in college and still live in the Rio Grande Valley.

Mrs. Holly Barfield, Assistant Principal
I am a graduate of Texas Wesleyan and the University of Texas at Arlington. I started my career in 1997 in Fort Worth ISD and served as a teacher and administrator. I moved to Dickinson ISD as Dean of Instruction at a middle school. Before coming to Big Spring, I also worked at Dallas ISD as a teacher and Instructional Coach. Here in Big Spring, I have served as Instructional Support, High School Teacher, and currently as Assistant Principal at Goliad.
