Our Mission Statement
Big Spring Independent School District continues to strive to meet the needs of all children and provides support through special services to students who demonstrate an educational need. The mission of the Special Services department is to provide quality teachers and appropriate instruction to ensure that all students learn at high levels. The goal of this mission is to meet the students where they are at and to serve each child in the least restrictive environment as possible. The Special Services department provides support for special education and dyslexia.
