ACCELERATED READING 

    Accelerated Reader is a computerized reading comprehension program in which students at all grade levels can participate and take tests at their reading levels. Students receive prizes as they advance to the 5, 10, 15,  etc… point goals. Upon reaching 25 points, students get their picture taken to be hung on our AR Wall of Fame.  The top student in each grade will be given a certificate as well as a T-shirt to wear on the day of the awards assembly. Point Levels for Accelerated Reading

    5 points:  eraser or  bookmark
  10 points:  pencil
  15 points:  pencil grip or bracelet
  20 points:  animal eraser, notepad or encouragement bracelet
  30 points:  zipper bag, fluffy pencil, or gem eraser
  40 points:  magnetic game or wacky pen
  60 points:  wooden game or wrist band
  80 points:  hacky sack or finger watch
100 points:  electronic calculator or flashlight keychain
125 points:  folder and pen
150 points:  spiral notebook
175 points:  water bottle or poster fun
200 points:  mouse radio or cap
225 points:  T-shirt
