Dear Parents,

Welcome to the 2007-2008 school year and Kentwood Elementary School.  Our school is an exciting place filled with student smiles and learning opportunities.  It is a school where parents are considered to be a valuable and essential resource in the education of children.  By combining our efforts and knowledge we can make this school year a productive and successful one. The theme this year - "Kid's Under Construction ... Building Lifelong Learners" is a symbol of our striving to educate your student and prepare them for a life of learning!

The Kentwood staff is committed to providing each child the opportunity to learn in a safe, happy atmosphere.  It is our hope that each child will be challenged to explore, discover, and learn.  As you may know, there is a direct link between parent involvement and high achievement.  Together we can ensure that every child experiences a happy and successful school year.

Our staff looks forward to working with you and your child this school year.  We are always more than willing to assist you in any way possible, so do not hesitate to contact us. We welcome you to our building!

Sincerely,

Dana Rodriguez
Principal

Our staff at Kentwood continues to work together to promote achievement for
all! It is my goal to foster community partnerships, improve home-to-school
communication, advance technology and basic skills, and promote self-esteem in
children while instilling a desire/motivation to become a life long learner.  I look
forward to working with all of you and establishing good partnerships at our
school.  Please contact me with questions or concerns as we work through the
challenges of the new school year.
